ASH Bakers

[wpvideo m2yHcVD9] With 4 Lower school students, lemons were zested, sugar was measured and eggs were cracked. Flour found its way everywhere. Aprons were tested. Behold! Lemon Poppy Seed muffins rose in the oven to create a mouth-watering mid-morning snack. Our ASH Bakers gathered at the Shannon House Community with their parents last Saturday morning to try their hands at being "sous chefs". Donning embroidered aprons and chef hats, the young chefs mixed and measured until the recipe was completed. Down on the Bayou

Sometimes, we are given openings in our day to connect with our Creator, with one another, and with the flora and fauna of nature. A few days ago, Marianne Tavares, RSCJ (Toronto), Sheila Smith, RSCJ (Ottawa), Georgeann Parizek, RSCJ (Baton Rouge), and I did just this in the Cypress Island Swamp Preserve in Breaux Bridge, LA.
